Chocolate Cake Decorations

In my gallery, I have a picture of a cake with a chocolate bicycle on it. Today I will be sharing how I made the decoration! Of course, it doesn’t have to be a bicycle, it can be anything! Making these are so simple, and fun! You can make a bunch of little ones for cupcakes, or one big decoration for a cake! You can also use colored white chocolate, for something you would want color for. These are really fun to make and a little something extra for any cake that is very simple!

Depending on what you are making, it will vary the amount of chocolate you will need. I hope you can estimate. If you run out, it’s ok! All you need to do is melt more chocolate, so don’t worry about not having enough.

Ingrediants for plain chocolate:

Chocolate chips

For colored chocolate:

white chocolate chips

food dye

On a computer or Ipad, find the desired photo and print or trace. You can also draw you own thing. Place a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap over paper. Tape down edges, making sure not to get tape over the part you are tracing. Lightly grease.

In a small bowl, melt the chocolate until smooth and melted. If you are adding multiple colors, separate the chocolate and mix in the dye. Add the chocolate to a plastic bag or piping bag.

Cut a small hole at the tip of the bag, and gently pipe the chocolate on the lines of the paper. Cool in fridge until hardened. Pipe another layer of chocolate right over the lines if desired. Cool in fridge.

When ready to add on to a dessert, carefully place on. If you want it to stand vertical, like in the photo, gently prop it up with toothpicks. Enjoy a simple, pretty decoration!
