Todays post isn’t a baking one because I have a fun accessory to make! I will show you how to make a simple ring out of air dry clay. You only need a few things and its really cute. Since you are making this yourself, it will fit perfectly! You can also shape the ring to be a cat, if you don’t want a frog ring. All you have to do for that is make the eye rounds a bit pointy and paint the ring any cat color. I made the ring throughout my day, because you have to sculpt the clay, let it dry, paint it, and let it dry. Enjoy!

Supplies:
air dry clay
acrylic paint (small amount) green, white, black, pink. (or any color you want!)
x-acto knife, clay knife or sharp tool
Modde Podge or varnish (matte or glossy).
small brush

Roll out a tbsp of clay to be about 3mm, and cut a shape like this (for a frog):

Or a shape like this, for a cat:

Measure around your finger and cut off excess length. Find something round the size of your finger and wrap the clay around (An Elmer’s glue stick was a great size for me, you could also use chapstick. anything works!). Use water and your nail to smooth the creases and merge the ends well. Let the ring dry on the ‘mold’.
For frog painting: Once dry, take off the ‘mold’ and mix a green color up. Paint the whole ring green and let dry. Add white dots to the eye bumps and add two dots in the center of the ring for the nostrils. Add a mouth (optional) and let dry. Add smaller dots on the white eyes for pupils. Let dry and paint a layer of Modge Podge or varnish on top. Let dry. Enjoy!
For cat painting: Once dry, take off the ‘mold’ and mix a tan color up. Paint the whole ring tan and let dry. Add black eyes. Add a triangle for a nose and let dry. Let dry and paint a layer of Modge Podge or varnish on top. Let dry. Enjoy!
Looks like a really fun craft to do in free time, and it is really cute!!
